Continuing Education: Yoga and Trauma Healing

In this class Emilee Coulter-Thompson (MSW RYT) will present an overview of trauma and it's impact on the body and mind. We will explore ways that yoga can support trauma healing. Vital information for Living Yoga volunteers, yoga teacher or anyone with a yoga practice.

Emilee has over a decade of experience working with trauma survivors and as an avocate of survivors of sexual assault. She has been a long time Living Yoga volunteer and volunteer trainer.

Continuing Education: Breathwork, Meditation, and Mindfulness

Ever wonder how to teach safe and simple breathing and meditation practices into an asana practices? In this class we will explore mindfulness basics and discuss how to weave then into your class plan.

Yoga Triage: Modifications and Safety in the Classroom

Teaching an all levels class can be a challenge, especially when it includes folks with injuries or other limitations. In this class we will explore ways to ensure “safety first” and how to assess your students needs.
